Black Miao women kneading stick rice served for festivals. Note
the young women with their heavy earrings held by braid and the older
women wearing them in pierced earlobes. The gentian violet dyed
back apron and the small insets of gentian dyed silk satin around the
embroidered back panel of the jacket are clearly visible. Zuo Qi
