Above - Side Comb Miao woman's jacket showing batik inserts and appliqued strip edgings.  These edgings have been applied by hand as can be seen from the back of the jacket showing at the bottom of this photo.  Note that the batik designs are very similar to those used in paper cut embroidery.  Pao Ma Cheng village, Teng Jiao township, Xingren country, Guizhou province.
