A
Silver Palaung woman in the Buddhist temple at Pein Ne Bin village near
Kalaw, northwestern Shan State joining in the prayers on the day after
the full moon 'Full Moon Day". She is wearing a traditional hand
woven skirt, embroidered shiny velvet blouse and the Silver Palaung identifying
bamboo or rattan hoops. There are also glimpses of a white sash and also
dark silky threads tied around the waist.
