Silver
Palaung woman taking a break at the 5 day rotating market in Kalaw, southwestern
Shan State. Note her traditional woven cotton bag in the right of the
photo balanced by the modern synthethic one on the left. Her towel turban
is round her neck but she is wearing the traditional jacket with embroidered
band at the bottom of the jacket back and the woven striped red tube skirt.
