Dai Lo village(Dai Lo is a Black Miao village in Shi Zi Township, Ping Ba county - 15km from the Puding county border - Guizhou province, south west China.)Dai Lo village is situated in pleasant scenery and when we visited the village many of the fields around were being ploughed after the rice harvest by bullocks. We were met by the village head man and taken to the roof of an old school where a group of girls sang and danced for us; we had demonstrations of braid weaving and embroidery after which we were able to buy textiles. Some old Lao Han women came up to the roof to watch the activities. See also Zuo Qi village, Guizhou province another Black Miao village. all text & images © Pamela A Cross
