The photogalleries below are based on a circular 10-day road tour in October 1995 at the end of a working (non-textile related) visit. The trip started from Hanoi heading to the north- west via Dien Bien Phu and Sa Pa seeking the minority groups and their textiles. Those found and photographed included Southern White Tai, Black Thai, Red Hmong, Black Hmong, Flowery Hmong, Red Dao, Dao Quan Trang and Phula Xa Pho.
