ss12 Jpeg 60K Sumatran offering cloth (old) natural dyes
A "tampan" (offering cloth) from South Sumatra, illustrating the diffusion of the strongly geometric Dong Son design repertoire throughout Southeast Asia, including island Southeast Asia. And, once again the "kop" (frog man), makes an appearance.

Age: early 20th century or older. Cotton (stiff with age) and cotton supplementary weft: natural dyes, including a lower border of greenish-blue.
