The main part of the embroidery for a Ge Jia baby carrier from Pamela's collection which may have been removed from the original carrier. This was purchased by Pamela in 2000 but probably traded earlier in the Kaili area. See the similarities with the other three embroidered Ge Jia baby carriers shown in the first row of the Ge Jia baby carriers' photogallery. Estimated age last quarter of the 20th century.

to Jpeg 58K ge-jia-emb-bc16E A detail of an embroidered Ge Jia baby carrier, originally from Huangping county, Guizhou province, in the collection of Andrew Dudley which he purchased from a dealer in Kaili in 2001. It was said to be 30-40 years old by the seller, putting it in the third quarter of the 20th century.
