We've just added a new exhibition of Tai Lue skirts from Vietnam. Most are handspun cotton plus a panel with fine silk and cotton weaving. According to Michael Howard's book Textiles of the Daic Peoples of Vietnam, there are only around 4000 Tai Lue in Vietnam, which may explain why so few of these textiles used to be seen. That has changed recently, and we are pleased to be able to offer a nice selection.
