Sorry folks! The server running MySQL on which the forum depends at the ISP which hosts website and forum is, according to them, 'running a little slow'. According to me and at least one other member who has kindly let me know, it is running excruciatingly slowly! I have passed on this information to them and hope that matters will be sorted early this coming week. Please do not despair or desert the forum...

I have found that, if I click an action and then do a little job elsewhere, when I come back the action has taken place and all is ready for the next installment. If you have the right balance of small jobs to balance the things to click, it is just about possible to do some light forum work.

I had a response back from the ISP this morning that they have "made some changes to a number of sites that I think were affecting the speed of the server". Things seemed to improve, then became impossible and now seem a bit better.

I don't know how things will go but will keep an eye on it and chase up with the ISP if things still run slowly. Useful to have your feedback...?
