Hi,
I've been an avid user of this site for many years but have just joined. I have a tour which focuses on the tribal textiles of Northern Vietnam - departing in February 2016 which I thought might be of interest to forum members.
This tour
TEXTILE TRAILS AND ETHNIC VILLAGES takes us overland from Hanoi up to Sapa, then onto Sinho, Muong Te, Lai Chau, Muong Khoung, Muong Hum, Simicai and then onto Bac Ha and back to Hanoi. There are a large number of ethnic minority groups in the area that we cover including: Flower, Red, Black and White Hmong; several different Dao groups; Nung, Pha La, Cong, Si La, Tu Di, Tay and Lu. Details of the tour can be found on my website at
:http://www.2worldtours.com.au/textile-trails-ethnic-villages-vietnam.html
Travelling in a small group of no more than 10 people we will have the opportunity to take our time and stop in at a number of villages and local markets - so there will be lots of time to really explore the area and we should also get some great photos and pick up some unique textiles along the way.
As I know many of us textile nuts often travel solo - I currently have a special offer for SOLO TRAVELLERS on this tour which offers a waiver of single room supplement (was $420) along with a $300 discount on the tour costs. So a total of $720 discount. (This is discount does not apply to those travelling with a companion - but if you do - contact me and I might be able to offer forum members a further discount - depending on numbers).
If you would like to find out more about this tour (or any of the other textile tours I run) you can contact me for a tour dossier via email - ngrudgfield@mtatravel.com.au or go to my website

Looking forward to sharing lots of photos and snippets that I find on my travels with the forum.
