Hello,

Very sorry to report that we recently lost Tboli Dreamweaver, Subi Nalon.

Subi lived a simple, yet meaningful life in the hills surrounding Lake Sebu, South Cotabato, Mindanao. She raised her family, led her community and was a master tnalak weaver. Her focus, as with all true tnalak weavers, was never commercial but always spiritual. She never deviated from the ageless traditions of the Dreamweavers who came before her and insisted that those who would follow would also hold true to their cultural roots. While she created her patterns and wove them to life for use in her Tboli homeland, she later came to realize that her art was treasured and admired worldwide.

Rest in peace Subi Nalon
